The Project

UnderConstruction Theatre are developing a new piece of theatre about the extraordinariness of ordinary women. We are looking for participants to donate stories about what it is like to be a woman today, what the common experiences are, and how much age changes one’s perspective. The stories will be adapted into a piece of theatre featuring six women, one from each decade of life, from twenties to eighties!

If you are a woman of any age and you are interested in donating your story to the project then on this website you can download a document of prompt questions to share your experiences with us. Please find this on the “Questions” page. These stories will help us shape and write a play about women, featuring six of the stories we have gathered. This website will also act as an archive for the stories as we collect them over the next year.
