The Project

UnderConstruction Theatre are developing a new piece of theatre about the extraordinariness of ordinary women. You an watch a film trailer of the production here.

We have been interviewing women to help us explore what it is like to be a woman today, what the common experiences are, and how much age changes one’s perspective.

The stories we have collected will be adapted into a piece of theatre featuring six women, one from each decade of life, from their twenties to their eighties.

The play will be performed for the first time at the Old Fire Station, Oxford, and Cheltenham Everyman, in October 2018.

6 Women is supported with funding from Arts Council England, the NHS, Oxford City Council and Oxford University Community Fund
